Paani Puri
Pan-India

π₯ Paani Puri
π Description: Hollow, crispy puris filled with spicy-tangy water (paani), mashed potatoes, chickpeas, and sweet chutney. Each bite is a burst of textures and flavours β crisp, spicy, sour, and sweet all at once.
π Origin: Believed to have originated in Magadh (ancient Bihar), now a nationwide favourite known as Golgappa in the North and Puchka in Bengal.
πΏ Fun Fact: In India, friends often have βpaani puri eating contestsβ, seeing who can eat the most without the puri breaking early!
Cypriot Parallel: Like crispy bite-sized pitas, but filled with spiced water and tangy fillings β a taste unlike anything else in Cyprus.
π Crunch, splash, and flavour explosion!
