Paani Puri
Pan-India

๐ฅ Paani Puri
๐ Description: Hollow, crispy puris filled with spicy-tangy water (paani), mashed potatoes, chickpeas, and sweet chutney. Each bite is a burst of textures and flavours โ crisp, spicy, sour, and sweet all at once.
๐ Origin: Believed to have originated in Magadh (ancient Bihar), now a nationwide favourite known as Golgappa in the North and Puchka in Bengal.
๐ฟ Fun Fact: In India, friends often have โpaani puri eating contestsโ, seeing who can eat the most without the puri breaking early!
Cypriot Parallel: Like crispy bite-sized pitas, but filled with spiced water and tangy fillings โ a taste unlike anything else in Cyprus.
๐ Crunch, splash, and flavour explosion!
