About Namaste Cyprus
Namaste Cyprus is the High Commission of India’s premier cultural initiative in Nicosia, conceived to honour and showcase the rich traditions, artistic excellence, and cultural diversity of India, while celebrating the invaluable contributions of the Indian community to Cyprus’s socio-economic development.
Over the years, the Indian diaspora in Cyprus has played a vital role in sectors such as healthcare, shipping, information technology, education, hospitality, and entrepreneurship, becoming a dynamic bridge between our two nations. Their professional excellence, cultural engagement, and spirit of innovation have strengthened bilateral ties and contributed meaningfully to Cyprus’s economic growth and social fabric.
Namaste Cyprus serves as both a tribute to these contributions and a platform for deeper cultural exchange. The event features internationally acclaimed Indian dance forms, music, visual arts, and authentic cuisines, creating a vibrant space where Cypriot and Indian communities can connect and collaborate.
The 2025 edition will also mark a milestone with the official launch of the Namaste Cyprus logo and website by the High Commissioner of India Mr. Manish, expanding its reach and impact. By bringing together performers, artisans, entrepreneurs, and community organisations, Namaste Cyprus underscores the enduring friendship and shared values that define India–Cyprus relations.
